Information coming in and intercepted by joynewsroom.com indicates that the NPP Steering Committee has settled on NPA Boss as Gusheigu candidate.
The meeting was held yesterday in Accra and it was decided that Hassan Tampuli should be acclaimed as the Parliamentary Candidate for the Gusheigu Constituency. Information available indicates that there will be an acclamation at the Constituency by the delegates.
It will be recalled that both the Member of Parliament and his main contender for the Gushegu Constituency voluntarily withdrew from the NPP Parliamentary Primaries.
In a separate letters to the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party and sighted by Joynewsroom, both Dr Barry Ziblim and Mahama Osman, stated that they arrived at the decision after a very broad consultation and deep introspection.
They both appealed to the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party to withdraw their application and came to the firm resolve that it will be in the interest of the party that a neutral person emerges to fly the flag of the NPP in the constituency as a parliamentary candidate.
