The war of words between Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu and the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nektia is far from over as the former has descended heavily on the NDC executive describing him as an irredeemable liar.
He accuses General Mosquito of hallucinating and peddling falsehood when he [Asiedu Nketia] claimed he advised him [Martin Amidu] against accepting the appointment of Special prosecutor when it was offered.
In yet another letter reacting to recent claims made by Mr. Asiedu Nketia, he stated that he is not in any talking terms with him to have met him not alone being advised.
“Anybody who wants further evidence and proof that Mr. Asiedu Nketia might have hallucinated or might be an irredeemable liar should Google or go to the websites indicated in some of the following on what he and the NDC said on or around 6th February 2018 about my nomination that proves his hallucination and/or lies and the fake news”, he said in the letter.
General Mosquito incurred the wrath of the Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice when on Accra-based Okay Fm he said “What at all is Martin Amidu up to? I sent the advice through the media and it was the same media he heard which made him come and write long thesis. He wasn’t appointed to that office to write long letters, he should work and prosecute people”
He reiterated that he had advised Mr. Amidu against accepting the post in the first place but he was impervious which has landed him in the situation he currently finds himself.
“I told him they were just deceiving him. It will all amount to nothing; they just want to destroy his name. We said it and he did not listen.” He recounted.
