Breaking News: Akufo-Addo to issue Executive Order on Dagbon Chieftaincy dispute tomorrow

President Akufo-Addo is set to issue an executive order on the protracted Dagbon chieftaincy crisis tomorrow.

The executive order will cement the decision of
the Committee of Eminent Kings chaired by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, with support from the overlord of Mamprugu, the Nayiri Naa Bohagu Abdulai Mahami Sheriga and Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa I mediating the dispute for the past 16 years.

The committee has decided that both Abudu and Andani royal families be allowed to perform the funerals of the late Dagbon Kings at the old Gbewah palace in Yendi.

President Akufo-Addo is expected to make the announcement at a press conference on Wednesday, 21st November, 2018 at the Jubilee House which would be attended by the accredited representatives of the Abudu and Andani Royal families.
