The Chief Executive Officer for the Public Procurement Authority(PPA), Mr AB Adjei has been suspended with immediate effect by the president of the republic.
The allegations leveled against Mr Adjei has been referred to the Comminsion on Human Rights and Administrative Justice(CHRAJ) and those relating to potential acts of corruption have also been referred to the Office of the Special Prosecutor for investigation and possible prosecution.
Again the Chairperson for the Board of the Public Procurement Authority have been notified and tasked to ensure that Mr AB Adjei hands over his office to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the PPA, Mr Frank Mante.
The suspension follows a broadcast of allegations made against him in an investigative documentary conducted by Manessah Azure Awuni titles “Contracts for Sale”.
