The saying that politicians will go every length to win the votes of the electorate has been given some credence with images of former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur’s Muslim prayers pose at this year’s ‘Eid-ul-Adha’ celebration hitting social media.
Social media users have roasted the gender activists over what they described as a fake pose under the guise of prayer when she joined Muslims at Adenten in commemoration of the day.
Nana Oye Lithur who is seeking to be elected as a parliamentary candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Adentan Constituency, has not only incurred the wrath of Muslims over what they termed as a hypocritical, she has been accused of making mockery of celebrants who gathered to pray.
She is set to contest for the slot of the party in the forthcoming parliamentary primary with Adamu Mohammed Ibrahim said to be the younger brother of Second Lady Hajia Samira Bawumia
