The Former President and now Candidate of the opposition NDC, has accused the Asantehene , Otumfuo Osei Tutu II of lying to the whole world about his mediating role in the 2016 elections.
In a statement issued through his office and signed by the then Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, he said the decision to concede was done before he called the Asantehene to inform him contrary to the claims by the Asantehene.
This is not the first time Otumfuo is making this claim and observers are wondering why the former President is challenging the Asante King this time.
Inside sources say Manhyia is not Happy and the King will be calling on John Mahama to the palace on his return to Ghana on 21st September 2019 to explain the contents of his letter.
