The Ghana Armed Forces have debunked reports suggesting military personnel deployed to MEPE have been ordered to leave the community.
Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Okudzeto Ablakwa, in a series of tweets, could not fathom why soldiers were leaving MEPE.
He described the move as “utter cruelty”.
However, a statement from the Armed Forces indicated that personnel sent to MEPE had been redeployed to other communities where help was needed after the situation in MEPE was brought under control.
