The President of the Republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has condemned the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an investigative journalist working for Tiger PI and Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
In a post on Facebook, the President expressed his condolences to the family of Ahmed and charged the security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book as soon as practicable.
According to reports, Ahmed was shot on Wednesday, 16th January, 2019 at Madina in Accra while he was on his way home. According to Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Ahmed was shot twice in the chest and another in the neck while he was driving home, by unknown gunmen.
“I’ve learnt with sadness of the killing of Ahmed Hussein-Suale, an associate of investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas. I condemn the act unreservedly, and extend my condolences to his family. I expect the police to bring to book, as soon as possible, the perpetrators of this heinous crime. Once again, my heartfelt condolences,” President Akufo-Addo stated in the social media post.
