Make Hon Isaac Adongo the running mate.
A group calling itself the Equity Youth Group of the NDC has called on HE Prez JM and the functional executive committee of the NDC to make Hon Isaac Adongo, MP for Bolgantanga Central and a Financial guru the running mate of JM for the 2020 General Elections.
The group believes it is only Hon Adongo who has been able to stand up to Dr Bawumia on matters of the economy. According to the leader of the group, Samuel Amaliboko anything short of this will leave the party vulnerable to the punches to Dr Bawumia. The group believes the Bolgantanga law maker has demonstrated enough commitment to be given the nod as opposed to others who have opted to remain silent, giving Dr Bawumia the leeway to attack JM at will.
The group further argued that unlike the NPP that believes in some fake regional balance in selecting the presidential ticket, the NDC believes competence rather than where one comes from should be the key factor. According to Mr Amaliboko the NDC has on two occasions fielded two southern candidates.
They mentioned the Rawlings/Arkaah and Rawlings/Mills ticket to buttress their point, adding that if there was nothing wrong with an all southern ticket nothing can be wrong with an all Northern ticket.
The group thus admonished JM and the leadership of the great NDC to as a matter of urgency select and outdoor Hon Adongo to ensure a resounding victory in 2020.
