The Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi, has been fingered for leaking secret tapes which have gone viral to his friends in the ruling party.
In a meeting held at the party’s headquarters, the National Chairman of the opposition party was heard admitting to the importation of the Azorka Boys to cause mayhem during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.
Mr Ofosu-Ampofoh is also heard, amongst other things, encouraging his party members to unleash venom on Mrs Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.
In the same audio, the elder of the Church of Pentecost can be audibly heard urging the party’s communicators to descend heavily on the Chairman of the Peace Council.
The voice tapes which have since gone viral are giving the NDC headache.
Tongues have started wagging as to who recorded the voices and leaked same to the NPP.
Information from a source close to the leadership of the NDC has it that Sammy Gyamfi is believed to have stabbed the party in the back.
Sammy has not hidden his displeasure with the appointment of a Communications Director in the person of Kakra Essamuah who, Sammy believes, has been brought to take over the running of his office.
The Communications Officer’s dalliance with some key figures within government circles is an open secret. It is alleged that he leaked the audios to a close pal of his in government.
Sammy Gyamfi, it could be recalled, was accused of having leaked the statement of a planned press event of the party to a friend journalist in the NPP.
The top echelons of the party are livid at Sammy Gyamfi’s betrayal and are planning to deal with him ruthlessly.
