THE WATER PROBLEMS IN THE TOLON CONSTITUENCY
One of the areas Chief Akilu Sayibu will tackle as a representative of the people of Tolon when elected will be how to address the water challenges in the Tolon constituency.
A deliberate strategy shall be deployed outside the usual political space.
Corporate entities shall be engaged in how they can help through their social responsibility budgets.
The various embassies shall be contacted on how they can help too. There are local and international charities operating in the area of providing water support to communities, and many constituencies don’t access these opportunities. Some don’t even know about the existence of such opportunities.
Chief Akilu Sayibu will explore this option.
There is so much pressure from communities in the country on central governments to provide water, but the truth is that governments cannot meet every demand.
The best strategy is robust strategic and innovative advocacy to get things done, and this shall be one of the tools to be deployed.
An engagement with stakeholders linked to the Tolon Constituency either by birth or occupation shall be held to brainstorm on the way forward.
The policy of two heads being better than one shall be deployed vigorously.
Chief Akilu Sayibu represents the voice of the voiceless and is best for the Tolon Constituency.
