Yaw Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh who was picked up by the Police for questioning in relation to the murder of an NDC member yesterday at their party’s headquarters has been granted bail.
He was picked up this morning after police from the regional headquarters stormed his residence near Adako Jachie in Kumasi.
Yamoah Ponkoh had claimed after the shooting to death of the NDC sympathiser that he was there when the incident happened.
“It was an open place and they were chatting and there was nothing to suggest they were fighting or having any confrontation. I saw the person who pulled the trigger but I have never met him in my life except today. Almost all the faces I met at the place I can say it is just 1% whose faces are familiar. But the guy who fired the shots, I was there when the incident happened”, he noted.
Joseph Yammin who was also invited is still with the Police and has been taken to his house to search there.
The Police will after the search determine whether to bail him or not
