Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sam Pyne has descended heavily on former President John Dramani, describing him as World Best in corruption.
Former President John Dramani Mahama has accused President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of failing the corruption test by always acquitting and discharging his appointees of any wrongdoing whenever there are allegations of corruption brought against them.
According to him, his government had a better record in terms of the fight against corruption as compared to the Akufo-Addo government.
He flayed President Akufo-Addo for turning his office into a clearing house within his almost two years in office where he is clearing his appointees and ministers who have been accused of corruption.
“Most appallingly, the President has become a clearing house for clearing his appointees of corruption. He has on several occasions cleared his Ministers and appointees when allegations of corruption have been made against them”, he alleged.
“Indeed it was a very low day for Ghana when the President peddled a falsehood on a panel on a recent African investment forum that all allegations made against people in his administration have been investigated and cleared by independent investigative bodies. That was an obvious untruth”, he told party supporters at the 9th Delegates Congress at the weekend.
But Sam Pyne who was commenting on this issue on Abusua Fm’s morning show hosted by Kwame Adinkra said former president John Mahama under his administration indulged in the infamous “create loot and share’ with his appointees just to enrich themselves.
According to Sam Pyne, NDC government did nothing to fight corruption as former president Mahama claimed.
“I’m challenge former president Mahama to produce evidence if he is saying there is corruption under Nana Addo’s administration. He has no evidence but what he said was based on social media issues. Mahama and his NDC did nothing to fight corruption. How can corrupt Mahama fight corruption” he asked.
